The Main Event.
The main event is, of course, the main course. The reason you are hosting an event. The every evening dinner. But just because it's the featured course doesn't mean it has to be overly complicated. I do think, on occasion, it's fun to whip out every single pan and make a complete mess. I've done that many times over! It would have been easier to move than clean up.
But by and large, dinners should be simple, uncomplicated, easy. That's because you're putting effort into every other aspect of your life as well. You don't wake up every day preparing for dinner. There's school, work, deadlines, sporting events, after school activities, happy hours, dare I say even exercise. So let's give ourselves a break and find some of the easier things to cook.
